CSR HELLAS Hosts the Sustainable Hospitality Forum to Kick Off the Hellenic Pact for Sustainable Industry

CSR HELLAS has transferred the Pact for Sustainable Industry (P4SI) to the Greek context, with the vision of rallying and guiding Greek businesses from every sector of business activity in the transition towards a new, sustainable and responsible business model, in accordance with the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility and the objectives of the European Green Deal and the subsequent Just Transition.

The P4SI initiative was originally developed by CSR Europe and has led to the establishment of the European Sustainable Industry Barometer, with the support of the European Commission.

Through the Pact for Sustainable Industry (P4SI-GR), CSR HELLAS aims to help both industries, which may have not yet started the adaptation process, and small and medium-sized enterprises, by sharing the expert knowledge, good practices and experiences of more mature companies in an organised and targeted manner.

The first launch event of the Hellenic Pact for Sustainable Industry (P4SI-GR) will have a sectoral character, relating to Axis II of the initiative which concerns the cooperation with pioneering businesses to develop partnerships with their sectoral bodies. With the central aim of focusing on those sectors that contribute decisively to the Greek GDP, such as the tourism sector, the event titled Sustainable Hospitality Forum is being implemented jointly between CSR HELLAS and the Hotel Owners Association of Heraklion, Crete. It is clear that the hospitality economy may play a key role in ensuring a sustainable and green transition within the Greek context, and therefore the event is addressed to all businesses operating in this area, in order to understand the dimensions of sustainability, and gradually be able to better manage related risks, while exploiting emerging business opportunities.

Prominent international and Greek speakers from the entire spectrum of businesses, institutions, academia and the political scene that are directly or indirectly related to the Hospitality Economy will participate and share their insights during the event, including Stefan Crets, Executive Director at CSR Europe, who will talk about leadership and engagement for an Inclusive Green Deal.

The hybrid Sustainable Hospitality Forum will take place on 3 June 2022, with the start time being 08:30 am CET.
