Enel Premium Sponsor of the European SDG Summit 2021

Enel – the Italian multinational manufacturer and distributor of electricity and gas – will be premium sponsor of the European SDG Summit 2021, taking place on 11-14 October.

For this fourth edition, CSR Europe will bring together business leaders, European policymakers, and civil society organisations in 30 virtual sessions aimed at shaping a climate-neutral, socially just, competitive Europe. Global Thought Leaders like Enel will share insights on their journey to transform their organisations and manage the climate transition through the proximity with and the continuous empowerment of employees, suppliers, investors, consumers, and communities.

“The European SDG Summit represents a unique opportunity, not only to discuss the needs of the new post-pandemic world, but also to work together without delay on vital action plan. Merely talking about the transition toward a green digital world is not enough. Even a virtuous process such as this must be conducted with great care in order to avoid creating new forms of inequality and to ensure a decent future for the next generations. We must focus on inclusion and on a just transition that leaves no one behind and considers the needs of those most exposed to change.”

- Gonzalo Juárez de la Rasilla, Head of Sustainability Stakeholder Engagement, Enel.
