EU Commission Launches the 2020 LIFE Programme Call for Proposals
On April 2, the European Commission launched its 2020 LIFE Programme Call for Proposals, with extended deadlines to facilitate submissions during the COVID-19 crisis.
The LIFE Programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. This year funding of €450 million will be prioritized for projects that can help improve crisis-preparedness.
In other words, the funds will not only finance projects with green ambitions, such as circular economy, climate action, and sustainable finance, but also those that address the many issues encountered during the COVID-19 pandemic to be better prepared for future crises.
