Clean Energy for EU Island Forum 2024
Discover the transformative potential of clean energy at the Clean Energy for EU Islands Forum 2024, embodying the theme "The power of islands: building resilience through renewables."
Following a rigorous selection process, 30 islands and island groups have been chosen for support in achieving a fully renewable energy supply. This year's forum aims to convene representatives from these islands alongside key players from the EU islands community.
Attendees can expect a comprehensive overview of the technical assistance initiatives underway and engage in discussions on relevant crosscutting issues. The forum also provides a unique platform to network with island stakeholders and gain insights into their specific challenges and needs of islands.
While the event primarily takes place in Pantelleria, selected agenda points will be live-streamed to facilitate broader participation. Interested participants are encouraged to register with the EU Islands Secretariat for full access to the program.

EU Green Week 2024 - Towards a Water Resilient Europe
Citizens across the continent are facing a surge in natural disasters like droughts and floods, which have made the EU’s water challenges more severe and brought a new awareness of the need for water resilience. Pressures on water resources come from decades of mismanagement of this precious resource, pollution, and ecosystem degradation, as well as from climate change. Worldwide, the water cycle is out of balance, closely intertwined with climate change and biodiversity loss, with each crisis worsening the other.
The 2024 EU Green Week is part of #WaterWIseEU, a campaign to stimulate an EU-wide conversation around water today and in the future. The campaign aims at fostering awareness and promoting positive, collaborative solutions. Organisations across Europe are invited to join the campaign now

Global warming and its massive impact on extreme natural disasters is one of the main challenges of our era. The conference INTERPRAEVENT 2024 is addressing this issue under the overall theme: “Natural hazards in a changing climate – How to manage risks under global warming?”.
The conference INTERPRAEVENT is the upcoming event of the European and Pacific research community in the field of preventive protection against natural disasters which takes place biannually, alternating between Europe and the Pacific Region. It provides a platform for an intensive professional discussion on the latest developments and scientific work on prevention of natural hazards.

The academic Gender Equality Conference will bring together leading researchers, scholars, and scientists in the field, as well as members of non-profit and government organizations. You will learn why innovative methodologies proved successful on regional or national levels yet failed to achieve the same results on a global scale.
