RBF Poland Released the 4th edition of the "Diversity IN Check" Study at the Annual Gala of the Diversity Charter in Poland
The Diversity IN Check (DINC) is an annual survey conducted by the Diversity Charter in Poland, coordinated by the Responsible Business Forum. Its goal is to enable the diagnosis of employers' maturity in terms of diversity management and inclusivity. The 4th report based on the survey was published on 21 October, during the annual Polish Diversity Charter Gala.
A total of 77 companies and organisations took part in this year’s survey. These were mainly large businesses (86%), representing various industries (services, commerce, transport - 42%, banking, finance and insurance - 18%, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals - 18%, fuels, energy, mining, industrial production - 16%). As many as 54 companies were recognised on the 4th “List of the best employers for Diversity and Inclusion in Poland’, 8 of which scored above 80%.
What is more, during the Gala RBF’s five partner organisations presented their DEI-oriented case studies. It was ERGO Hestia Group Integralia Foundation, Polpharma, T-Mobile Poland, BNP Paribas Bank Poland and Think Tank Diversity Hub who shared their good practices
During the event, also a panel discussion was held on the topic of the Woman on Boards Directive place: IKEA, T-Mobile Poland, EY Poland and Warsaw Stock Exchange representatives debated, whether Women on Boards Directive can make a real difference. Together tried to answer the question of whether the new law would actually help break the ‘glass ceiling’ and improve the situation of women on the Polish labour market.
This time RBF hosted public administration too. On the occasion, the Secretary of State and Government Plenipotentiary for Persons with Disabilities, gave a speech about the belief in people’s potential. He also talked about the fact that a person with a disability, although they may need support at the beginning, does very well in the workplace and also increases the sense of value of the whole organisation. Unfortunately, in Poland only about 30 per cent of disabled people are economically active and it will be the secretary's role to make this indicator better.
Moreover, new Signatories of the Diversity Charter in Poland were officially welcomed.
