We are addressing the following SDGs:
SPEAKERS
Women and girls represent half of the world's population and therefore half of its potential. Equality between men and women, in addition to being a basic human right, is essential for peaceful societies with full human and economic potential and for sustainable development.
Gender equality has advanced worldwide in recent years. However, there are still many challenges to be met both inside and outside of companies: this is the greatest challenge in terms of fundamental rights.
Despite an important legislative framework for professional equality in Europe, the situation of women in the labor market remains weaker than that of men.
Although inequalities have changed over the past decades, they remain very significant and new forms of inequality have emerged, linked to the sharing of tasks within the family sphere and to changes in the labor market.
From school guidance to training and employment, the implementation of gender equality strategies is essential.
