The European Pact for Sustainable Industry offers a programme to build impactful partnerships and reach the SDGs by 2030, unlocking synergies between industry federations, companies and policymakers.

The Covid-19 crisis keeps on claiming victims, and what it has revealed is concerning – from raising protectionism, to social inequalities, fraying supply chains, and transparency and privacy issues. The world seems to have become a more divided place overnight.
But now is not the time for division, now is exactly the time for solidarity. If we are to build back better, it is time to increase – not decrease – cooperation across sectors and across the continent.
Building on the 2019 CEOs Call to Action for a Sustainable Europe, endorsed by 380 CEOs in Europe, this year we are inviting business leaders, industry federations and EU policymakers to join forces for a European Pact for Sustainable Industry.
The Pact: A programme to build impactful partnerships and reach the SDGs…
If we are to survive, let alone thrive in these decades to come, a more resilient and sustainable model is sorely needed.
With the Pact, we aim at bridging the current EU economic silos, across borders and value-chains, to foster the transformation required to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In this respect, the Pact is a programme to build impactful partnerships and reach the SDGs thanks to the involvement of:
Industry Federations
To have a sustainability roadmap for each industry federation by 2024
Companies
To have 10.000 companies engaged in sectorial- and cross-sectorial collaborations by 2030.
Policymakers
To leverage the collaborative actions of companies and implement an inclusive level playing field.
The starting point of this undertaking? The inauguration of the Pact with Frans Timmermans, First Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, at the opening plenary of the European SDG Summit 2020.
… and a communication campaign to shed light on SDG collaborations
CSR Europe and its network are already working with sectors, value chain peers and other stakeholders to make the business and economic transformations required to achieve the SDGs.
And we are not alone. Thousands of women and men across businesses, industry federations, governments, higher education institutions, civil society organisations, are doing just the same, driven by the desire to collaborate, to take care of people and to generate value for society.
We are many, and we are everywhere. And it is time to make all our voices heard loud and clear.
For this reason, CSR Europe has started the public communication campaign #Pact4EU.
With #Pact4EU we want to give a voice to this worldwide community of Thought Leaders who are building partnerships to address the SDGs and drive positive change in their communities.
If your organisation is actively involved in sector and/or cross-sector collaborations contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we want to hear from you! Together, our voice will be stronger.
Make sure to register for our next webinar on the Pact: “Taking Action towards the European SDG Summit” on 10th September. We will:
Present the campaign and the next steps to make our collective voice heard by EU leaders as we are getting closer to the European SDG Summit (26-30 October)
Explain how you can take advantage of the #Pact4EU to showcase your leadership and collaborative efforts in advancing sustainability in your industry
Give you the #Pact4EU Social Media Toolkit so that you can actively participate in the campaign
