CSR Europe Members to Join Consultation for Policy Recommendations Towards the Next EU Leadership

  • Corporate members and National Partner Organisations (NPOs) are invited to register for the dedicated webinar on 6th December and give feedback on the policy recommendation drafted by CSR Europe.

  • The text will have included the inputs shared by the Leadership Hubs at the second Sustainability Leadership Salon on 14 November.

As the 2024 EU elections are approaching, it is imperative to advance the Just Transition in Europe for the future of the EU Green Deal 2024–2029. A key step in this direction will be taken by the members of CSR Europe’s Leadership Hubs on the 14th of November, for the second Sustainability Leadership Salon, when they will convene in Brussels to share their final inputs for the policy recommendations of the network towards the next EU leadership.

The event, hosted by Solvay, will see the participation of high-level representatives of Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs & Inclusion (DG EMPL), International Partnerships (DG INTPA), Research and Innovation (DG RTD).

Following the exchange between members companies - ArcelorMittal, BASF, BNP Paribas, Bridgestone, Coca-Cola Company, Enel, Engie, Epson, Hitachi, Leonardo, LKQ Europe, Pirelli, Société General, Solvay, Titan, Toyota, Unipol SAI – and National Partner Organisations - Fondazione Sodalitas, Forética, and UPJ- CSR Europe will consolidate all the inputs into a draft text.

The final draft will then be presented to the CSR Europe members at the dedicated online consultation taking place on 6 December from 11:00 to 12:30 CET.  Corporate members and National Partner Organisations will have time until 21st December to share their feedback.

After the final validation from the Board of Directors, the CSR Europe policy recommendations will be handed over to Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen, the Spanish and Belgian EU Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and the newly appointed leaders emerging from the European elections of 2024.
