Discover the New EU Circular Economy Action Plan
As part of the Green Deal, the European Commission has recently published a new Circular Economy Action Plan to ensure a sustainable use of resources and tackle resource-intensive sectors. Join our webinar on April 23 to better understand these new measures and learn what companies are already doing to foster the transition to a circular economy.
The circular economy has become an urgent strategy to replace the current linear consumption pattern of “take-make-use-discard” that is seriously putting a strain on natural resources and causing large quantities of waste. With the circular economy, instead, we have goods that are reduced-reused-recycled. In other words, it is a more sustainable way of production and consumption that has the potential to ensure sustained economic development, minimise environmental impact and maximise social welfare.
As part of the Green Deal, the European Commission has recently published a new Circular Economy Action Plan to ensure sustainable use of resources and tackle resource-intensive sectors. The new rules proposed by the Commission will:
Support circular design;
Prioritise reducing and reusing materials before recycling them;
Action will focus on resource-intensive sectors such as textiles, construction, electronics and plastics.
On April 23, CSR Europe is hosting the webinar “Circular Economy, Circular Production & End-of-Life Management” to give its members unique insights on how these new rules will foster the transition to a circular economy. With speakers from the European Commission, Enel and ArcelorMittal, this webinar will allow you to:
Understand the key characteristics of the new EU policy framework.
Hear from companies how they introduced circular principles into their business models;
Get inspired by their success stories to apply circularity in your company.
