The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has changed the way educational institutions work all around the world. To help contain COVID-19, many schools and universities closed, forcing teachers and students to continue learning from home. Although some European countries have eased the COVID-19 lockdown and progressively re-opened public spaces, this does not apply to everyone. While some students are resuming their physical classes and their schedules, whether part-time or full-time, others will have to stay away from their desks until September. However, the situation is still uncertain and with the risk of a second wave around the corner, classes might not end up taking place inside public buildings.

How to support students and teachers in remote teaching and learning? Partners of the collaborative platform Together for STEM, such as Amgen, IBM, and Johnson & Johnson, are currently working with us to build STEM@Home: a multilingual learning platform which provides access to free online resources and tools.

STEM skills are in high demand in the job market as they are critical to solving the world’s biggest  challenges. The importance of STEM has become increasingly evident during the current pandemic with scientists researching vaccines, engineers working to design and ramp up the production of protective equipment, and ICT services ensuring connectivity and remote work and education.

STEM@Home aims to go beyond the current health crisis and become a long-term reference point for digital education and effective remote learning. By leveraging business collaborations and partnerships, companies are able to:

  • Scale up the impact of their activities

  • Reach a wider audience

  • Consolidate their leadership in STEM fields

Join our leading partners and inspire the next generation of STEM entrepreneurs and professionals.

If your company is active and/or interested in fostering STEM education, talents, and jobs, we would like to hear from you.
