The collaborative platform Responsible Trucking welcomes H&M Group amongst its partners. Together with other 11 leading transport buyers and suppliers, H&M Group will take part to a collaborative effort to improve the working conditions of truck drivers.

Driving time, little access to sanitary facilities, cross-border exploitation caused by differences in national legislations, and extensive sub-contracting, are some of the reasons behind truck drivers’ shortage in Europe. Even though the pandemic shed light on the importance of the road transport industry in providing essential goods, these issues have not been solved.

Since June 2019, the collaborative platform led by CSR Europe is taking practical steps to improve social standards and business practices within the road transport sector.  Responsible Trucking has engaged with relevant stakeholders and policymakers, including the European Commission - DG Move, to ensure that companies are aware and well prepared for new regulations, such as the Mobility Package.

Truck drivers are at the heart of the logistics sector and are its most valuable assets. If your company wants to contribute to improving the current situation with other leading companies operating in logistics, contact Sara Sanchez Palacios, Responsible Trucking Project Manager.
