Moody’s Premium Sponsor of CSR Europe’s European SDG Summit 2021

Moody's – the global integrated risk assessment firm – will be premium sponsor of CSR Europe’s European SDG Summit 2021, taking place on 11- 14 October. For this fourth edition, CSR Europe will bring together business leaders, European policymakers, and civil society organisations in 30 virtual sessions aimed at shaping a climate-neutral, socially just, competitive Europe.

At the opening high-level plenary on 11 October, CSR Europe will launch the European Sustainable Industry Barometer – developed in collaboration with V.E, part of Moody’s ESG Solutions. The Barometer will provide data on the ESG performance, sustainability level and maturity of European industry sectors and federations, demonstrate what progress has been made, and identify where further transformation and collaborative solutions are urgently needed.

Jens Schmidt-Bürgel, Managing Director - Regional Head EU at Moody’s Investors Service and board member of CSR Europe, will also join the discussions at the European SDG Summit by moderating the panel “Our duty to collaborate and innovate: Conversation with leaders and doers”:

“European leaders have set out an ambitious agenda for change – including achieving the UN’s Sustainability Development Goals by 2030 and climate neutrality by 2050. European companies will be instrumental in meeting this vision; however, there’s a clear need for harmonised standards and consistent, forward-looking information to accelerate the pace of sustainable investment.”
