CLOSED EVENT-DRIVE SUSTAINABILITY & DRIVE+ MEMBERS ONLY
As expectations to remediate adverse impact toward downstream companies grow, it is fundamental that workers and communities throughout the automotive supply chain are able to raise complaints and seek redress.
The European Due Diligence directive, as well as other national regulatory framework on due diligence, requires companies to establish effective complaints procedures open to workers, trade unions, local communities, and civil society organizations active in the area concerned.
While companies may already have internal procedures for remediation, a wider approach is needed to collectively address issues that go beyond the activities or capacity of a single company, guaranteeing access to the entire supply chain.
Drive Sustainability and Drive+ are organising a virtual Atelier addressed to their members. The Atelier will explore initiatives that are already working on a collective grievance mechanism in the automotive industry and learn from other sectors’ experience.
