SPEAKERS
While the pandemic has accelerated a societal shift in the way we live and work, new opportunities are emerging for sustainable materials and technologies.
This session will focus on recycling and upcycling ocean plastics, wastepaper, and biomaterials with an emphasis on closing the resource loop.
We will explore a number of industry sector examples including paper recycling, textile production and fashion. The session will comprise three presentations outlining new approaches and technologies to address the mismanagement of plastic, paper waste and other valuable resources with the long-term goal of finding alternatives to non-renewable materials and the importance of designing-to-recycle including the need to involve industry at all levels, followed by an open discussion.
