Sodalitas Stands With its Members in the Fight Against COVID19
Fondazione Sodalitas, Italy’s leading Corporate Social Responsibility organisation, has collected and published all COVID-19 efforts and initiatives undertaken by its associated members and non-profit organisations, in an effort to display best practices and encourage partnerships between companies and civil society.
The result?
More than 55 businesses reported their COVID-19 initiatives, showing that many organisations are aware of their social responsibility and the importance of their contribution to achieve sustainable growth and inclusion after the crisis.
More than 45 non-profit organisations showed great resilience, not only by rapidly digitizing their pre-existing activities, but also by continuing to provide services wherever possible.
In addition, the Foundation, has launched a research initiative “Covid-19: oltre l’emergenza” or "Covid-19: beyond the emergency", in cooperation with the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences "Luigi Sacco" of the University of Milan and 5 of its associated members.
But what comes next? As the COVID-19 lockdown measures continue to ease, there is an urgency for togetherness: for enterprises, industry federations, policymakers, and civil society organisations to collaborate and build back better.
How? By incubating collaborations to develop practical and scalable solutions under the umbrella of the European Pact for Sustainable Industry.
