BNP Paribas’ Actions to Accelerate the Journey Toward a More Sustainable and Inclusive World

As the number of regulations, initiatives, coalitions, and commitments dedicated to sustainable finance grows, it is becoming more and more important to have meticulous methodologies and reporting on environmental, social, and governance (ESG)criteria.

To that end, BNP Paribas released major reports in 2022, detailing the Group’s actions to accelerate toward a more sustainable and inclusive world.

  • THE CLIMATE AND ANALYTICS ALIGNMENT REPORT

Documented, quantified, and based on climate data from the International Energy Agency (IEA), this report serves as a compass for aligning the company’s portfolio toward a net-zero economy.

  • THE MICROFINANCE SOCIAL PERFORMANCE REPORT

The document takes stock of the actions carried out by the Group in 2021 in the field of microfinance, while also highlighting more than 30 years of commitment to microfinance institutions (MFIs) across four continents.

  • THE ANNUAL TASK FORCE FOR CLIMATE-RELATED FINANCIAL DISCLOSURES (TCFD) REPORT

This is the third annual report dedicated to BNP Paribas’ approach, analysis, and management of the risks and opportunities related to climate change. This exercise in transparency is carried out following the recommendations of the Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

  • THE 2021 INTEGRATED REPORT

The report outlines the Group’s efforts in support of the recovery of the economy. BNP Paribas also continued to accelerate its digitalisation; confirmed its leadership in sustainable finance; and strengthened its support for its clients’ transition to more sustainable models.
