Bridgestone – a global leader in sustainable mobility and advanced solutions – will be premium sponsor of the European SDG Summit 2021, taking place on 11- 14 October. For this fourth edition, CSR Europe will bring together business leaders, European policymakers, and civil society organisations in 30 virtual sessions aimed at shaping a climate-neutral, socially just, competitive Europe.
Mirroring the summit’s goals, Bridgestone is working towards achieving carbon neutrality and utilising 100% sustainable materials by 2050. This is coupled with ambitious targets for 2030, which include cutting CO2 emissions by 50% and increasing the volume of renewable materials in its tyres to 40% – both from a 2011 baseline.
Bridgestone is also pioneering digital solutions, such as WEBFLEET, to help businesses save fuel and increase overall efficiency. While its innovative Virtual Tyre Development technology enables tyre development to be more efficient, flexible, and accurate, providing significant benefits in sustainability, such as reducing raw materials use and CO2 emissions.
