CSR Europe's Sustainability and Public Affairs Meeting Series: Shaping a Sustainable Future for the EU
On 27th February 2024, CSR Europe will kick off the 2024 Sustainability and Public Affairs Meeting Series.
With the 2024 Elections on the horizon, CSR Europe members, civil society, and government representatives will actively engage in thorough discussions to align efforts towards an inclusive European Green Deal for 2024-2029.
In the face of unprecedented challenges such as the far-reaching impacts of COVID-19, global conflicts, and the imperative for sustainability amid a green and digital economy, the 2024 European elections are on the horizon and will participate in the shaping of the next five years’ direction for the European Union.
As a consequence, CSR Europe is strategically collaborating with its members, the European Commission, and experts to align efforts towards an inclusive European Green Deal for the 2024-2029 period.
Beyond the crafting of practical tools for businesses and recommendations for policymakers, aimed at facilitating the smooth implementation of the sustainability agenda in European industries, CSR Europe is launching a three-session Sustainability and Public Affairs Meeting Series.
Annual CSO and Governmental Affairs Meeting
On 27th February, CSR Europe members, civil society and government representatives will gather in Bruxelles for the Annual CSO & Governmental Affairs Meeting. This event serves as a crucial platform to reflect on the past five years of the European Commission and anticipate upcoming developments, particularly in light of the 2024 European Elections. The focus will be on evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the European Green Deal (2019–2024) and exploring ways the EU can collaborate with businesses for a sustainable transformation and a just transition.
Participants will exchange ideas and gain firsthand insights into CSR Europe's draft policy positions.
sustainability & public affairs side-event at the EUROPEAN Sustainable Industry Summit
The Sustainable Industry Summit 2024 on 25-26 June, aims to align CSR Europe's policy recommendations with the priorities of the EU Belgian Presidency, fostering a cohesive approach towards sustainability.
A specific side event during the Summit will be dedicated to Sustainability and Public Affairs professionals from CSR Europe’s network to exchange and continue the conversation on how to drive sustainability forward, in the wake of the new European Parliament.
EU Masterclass - Decoding the Next European Commission
Following the crucial June 2024 vote, this online Masterclass, on 11 December 2024, offers a unique opportunity to connect with the new leaders and gain valuable insights into the strategic priorities and composition of the upcoming European Commission.
It will also be an important moment of interaction and connection between CSR Europe’s members on the hopes and expectations for the five years ahead.
