New Activities to Enhance Corporate Sustainability Practices
The "Upskilling - Learning & Implementing" pillar offers a diverse array of activities for CSR Europe members in 2025, all designed to strengthen companies’ and NPOs’ approaches to corporate sustainability.
Activities include two new atelier series for corporate members on supplier engagement and climate transition plans; the NPO Community of Practice on sustainability; EU Sustainability Policy Update series and dedicated briefings; and tailored services.
In 2025, CSR Europe is launching an exciting range of activities under the "Learning and Implementing" pillar, primarily designed for members to strengthen their approach to corporate sustainability and responsibility. Non-members will also have the opportunity to engage with CSR Europe by requesting tailored services.
UPSKILLING PILLAR: Learning & Implementing
ATELIER SERIES
(Corporate members only)
SUPPLIERS’ ENGAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE IMPACT
The Atelier series “Suppliers Engagement for Sustainable Impact” is designed to equip corporate members with a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with developing mature and advanced supplier engagement strategies. Companies will learn best practices for enhancing supplier relationships and leveraging sustainability as a strategic asset to drive long-term, collaborative value.
CLIMATE TRANSITION PLANS FOR BUSINESS RESILIENCE
The Atelier Series “Climate Transition Plans for Business Resilience” supports corporate members in meeting stringent climate-related requirements from the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). Corporate members will receive practical guidance on climate adaptation and mitigation to streamline compliance, reduce the regulatory burden, and seize opportunities to achieve impact with climate transition plans that enhance accountability, optimise decarbonisation efforts, and unlock value on the journey to a low-carbon future.
By bringing together companies, policymakers, and sustainability experts, the series explores the intersection of climate transition planning and environmental due diligence, helping participants align with regulatory expectations and meet stakeholder expectations, while fostering business resilience through effective climate strategies.
FUTURE LABS
(MEMBERS ONLY - BY INVITATION)
CSR Europe’s Future Lab on “The Art of Selling Sustainability” aims to explore how companies can boost their competitiveness through sustainability, both individually and collectively. This initiative will engage leading CSR Europe members and Knowledge Partners in identifying the internal and external challenges that hinder value creation through sustainability, and in developing strategies to overcome these obstacles.
Members’ contributions to the Future Lab will complement ongoing policy dialogue efforts within the European CSO Network, focusing on the following areas:
Market conditions, such as regulations, incentives, taxation, and trade.
Internal challenges, including private equity, marketing, sales, and skills.
External challenges: consumer behaviour, B2B requirements.
COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE
(NPO MEMBERS ONLY)
The National Partner Organizations (NPO) Community of Practice (CoP) serves as a dynamic platform for CSR Europe’s National Partner Organisations to share their approaches to driving sustainability compliance and impact with their corporate members. Running a business network focused on sustainability, given the evolving regulatory context and deeper engagement with various stakeholders, presents both specific challenges and opportunities.
Based on the top three sustainability priorities identified at the NPO Kick-Off meeting on 30th January, CSR Europe will facilitate three dedicated virtual roundtables to address common challenges, discuss current strategies and their limitations, and explore innovative solutions that promote long-term environmental, social, and economic progress.
EU SUSTAINABILITY POLICY UPDATES (MEMBERS ONLY)
The EU Sustainability Policy Update series provides CSR Europe members with a unique opportunity to stay informed and engaged with the latest EU policy and legislative developments. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of key issues shaping the European Union's sustainability agenda and how to adapt strategies to align with new regulations and initiatives, while also receiving insights into effective implementation strategies. These dynamic, interactive one-hour sessions will feature European Union officials discussing selected legislation/initiatives, alongside business representatives presenting key implementation strategies and potential challenges.
EU ISSUE INSIGHTS (MEMBERS ONLY)
To complement our EU Sustainability Policy Update series, CSR Europe will provide its members with dedicated policy briefs, highlighting key upcoming policy and legislative changes and offering guidance on adapting business strategies and operations accordingly.
In 2025 members will receive EU Issue Insights on:
Omnibus Simplification Package
Clean Industrial Deal
The European Commission’s 1st Year Mid-term Achievements
