Our 2021 Service Offer

From rising unemployment, widening digital divides, to environmental degradation, and climate change, many risks will become critical threats if left unattended. According to the 2021 Global Risk Report released by the World Economic Forum, “businesses risk disorderly shakeout which can exclude large cohorts of workers and companies from the markets of the future”. Yet, businesses have a key role to play in providing innovative solutions for today and tomorrow’s challenges.

As CSR Europe, we made it our mission to strengthen companies’ strategic foresight and resilience. In the last 25 years, we have supported over 10,000 companies in aligning their sustainability strategy to business goals for improved performance and reputation vis-à-vis heightened public scrutiny.

In 2021, we expanded our portfolio of services to support not only companies but also industry federations, in their sustainability journey.  We will help you make sustainability a core pillar of your business model and management structure to reflect your new positioning via:

  1. Stakeholder Dialogue – our signature approach for an impactful engagement with your stakeholders.

  2. Materiality assessment - to identify your exposure to ESG risks

  3. Tax policy and reporting - for a responsible and transparent tax behaviour

  1.  Stakeholder dialogue

A Stakeholder Dialogue is the best approach to directly influence your company’s management, decision-making process, performance, and accountability.

Involving your company’s direct and indirect stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, distributors, and peers, allow you to develop and implement an impactful Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (CSR) strategy.

During the process, as implemented by CSR Europe, your company will be able to build a clear framework of action and successful reaction to change, strengthening its CSR and business approach, while improving its reputation amongst stakeholders.

2. Materiality Assessment

A Materiality Assessment is the process of identifying and assessing potential Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues that impact your business and stakeholders. As a result, your company will be able to define opportunities, mitigate business risks, improve stakeholder engagement, and ensure the integration of sustainability into your business strategy.

With over 25 years of experience, CSR Europe will guide you through an in-depth and inclusive materiality process engaging your stakeholders face-to-face. At the end of the process, your company will be able to identify trends that could significantly impact its ability to create value in the long-term.

By identifying your personal ESG issues, you will be able to prioritize resources and focus time, money, and energy on what matters the most to you.

3. TAX POLICY & REPORTING

Tax has become an unavoidable issue for companies. It is not only relevant to ensure brand reputation and manage risks, but also to rebuild trust in stakeholders. At the same time, tax is also a critical resource to reach the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations and showcase a company’s commitment to foster an inclusive society.

Recognising the importance of scaling up corporate tax transparency, and establishing responsible tax behaviour, CSR Europe developed the Responsible and Transparent Tax Behaviour Service, with activities tailored to your company’s tax situation and maturity level. CSR Europe will help you assessing the level of transparency and responsibility of your tax behaviour, identifying gaps and areas of improvements in 6 thematic areas. As a result, your company will build trust and meet the growing expectations of the public and policymakers.

As part of our work on the European Pact for Sustainable Industry, inaugurated last year, CSR Europe will provide the tax service to industry federations. Our aim is to support them in the adoption of a sustainability strategy and action plan by 2024.
