Upskilling for Lifelong Employment

With the new pilot project Upskill4Future, CSR Europe is supporting companies in preparing their human resources for a digital future. Register to the upcoming webinar on “Workforce Transformation”, on 12 March 2020. We will share best practices on how HR transformation can support companies and the employability of their most vulnerable workers.

The world of work is constantly evolving due to the increased use of technologies in the workplace. According to the OECD Employment Outlook 2019, 14% of jobs could be automated, while 32% are likely to change significantly. Intelligent technologies, including Analytics, Big Data, Cognitive Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics are reshaping the future of work, automating routine tasks, while augmenting activities that involve social/emotional or high-order cognitive skills.

Workers in entry-level or mid-career jobs where a high proportion of time is spent on routine, automatable activities, will experience the biggest change. What is needed? Upskilling and re-skilling of employees. This process is a necessary step not only to grant employees new skills that will support their lifelong employability but also for businesses that want to stay relevant and competitive. However, many HR and CSR Managers are still in the unknown when it comes to addressing the skills gap and life-long learning.

With the project Upskill 4 Future, CSR Europe is supporting companies in preparing their human resources for a digital future. HR Managers of interested companies are invited to register for the upcoming webinar on “Workforce Transformation” on March 12 to discover how the HR function can drive key sustainable transformation within companies.
