Enel Confirmed as Gold Sponsor for European Sustainable Industry Summit 2024
The renewable supermajor Enel has been confirmed as Gold Sponsor for the European Sustainable Industry Summit 2024, which will be held at the BNP Paribas Fortis Auditorium in Brussels on 25-26 June. The Summit, organized by CSR Europe with the support of the European Investment Bank, is set to convene 200 key stakeholders from European institutions, industry, and civil society to collaboratively shape the next generation of corporate best practices.
The sustainability landscape is rapidly transforming, fueled by advancements in AI-driven digitalization, new mandatory reporting requirements, the climate crisis, human rights concerns, and the need for an inclusive Just transition. Addressing these complex challenges and capitalizing on emerging opportunities necessitates vigilant trend monitoring and collaborative efforts among stakeholders.
Enel's sponsorship highlights its commitment to leading sustainable practices and its belief in the power of collaboration to drive meaningful change. The Summit offers a distinguished venue for multi-stakeholder cooperation, allowing participants to share current practices and gain strategic insights into the latest development of the European sustainability framework.
Gonzalo Juarez de la Rasilla, Enel’s Head of Sustainability Stakeholders Engagement, will participate in the European Sustainability Roundtable co-organised by the German sustainability network econsense on “Corporate Transition Plans and their Role in Financing a Greener Europe". The session, scheduled on 25 June at 14:45 CEST, will also feature representatives from Deutsche Bank and the European Sustainable Investment Forum (Eurosif).
During the roundtable, Gonzalo Juarez de la Rasilla will share his insights on the key components of effective climate transition plans. He will discuss how these plans can be utilised to articulate transition finance needs within the current European regulatory frameworks. His expertise will offer valuable perspectives on how corporations can navigate the complexities of sustainability and finance to meet their environmental targets.
Gonzalo Juarez de la Rasilla said: “At Enel, we believe in the power of collective action and effective cooperation to drive transformative impact. Our support for CSR Europe’s European Sustainable Industry Summit is an example of our steadfast commitment to lead the change towards a sustainable future for all.
