VISION ZERO for Sustainability along Global Supply Chains – beyond Due Diligence Obligations

The main aim of the GSC Berlin 2024 Symposium is to bring together industry and other stakeholders to discuss the challenging situation and to offer approaches to solve the related problems.

Discussions on initial positions of concerned stakeholders will be followed by the presentation of the ISSA Guide “Improving safety, health and wellbeing in workplaces along Global Supply Chains by Vision Zero” which was recently published at the 23rd World Congress on Safety and Health in Sydney. Stakeholders from various sectors will illustrate the broad complexity of the topic. They will share experiences and give insight into how different industries as well as authorities deal with their respective challenges.

International Conference: Foresight for Occupational Safety and Health (FOSH) Anticipating Changes in the Workplace to Prevent Occupational Risks

Climate change, geopolitical and energy crises, the development of automation and the use of artificial intelligence... How will these developments contribute to transforming work in the years to come? And what impact will they have on workers' health and safety? Faced with the growing uncertainties surrounding the transformation of the workplace, several organizations operating in the field of occupational risk prevention have in recent years undertaken foresight initiatives to feed their strategic outlook.

This work aims to anticipate the possible consequences of economic and social transformations on the health and safety of workers in the future, so as to enable the adaptation of occupational risk prevention strategies and approaches.

This international conference will provide an opportunity to share the results of foresight studies carried out by various occupational health and safety institutes, and to discuss how they can be used to protect workers' health in the future.

European Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024

The 2024 edition of the European Day of Persons with Disabilities (EDPD) is hosted by the European Commission in partnership with the European Disability Forum.

The conference is part of the EU’s wider efforts to raise awareness and tackle everyday challenges faced by persons with disabilities. It is an occasion to mainstream disability issues in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the Strategy for the rights of persons with disabilities 2021-2030.

These two days of thought-provoking and engaging debate mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and bring together voices from a wide range of backgrounds with different expertise and stories to share, including policymakers, high-level experts, representatives from international and European institutions and disability advocates.

Gender Equality Forum 2024

The Gender Equality Forum is your platform to stand up for gender equality. Together, we can strengthen our collective efforts and build new partnerships to advance gender equality.

Building on the success of the inaugural Gender Equality Forum in 2022, there will be debates around key themes, workshops and masterclasses to share best practices. You will join gender equality experts, advocates, policymakers and new and emerging voices.

In a post-election Europe, we will be basing discussions around two thematic strands:

  • Taking stock of gender equality in Europe: now and beyond 2025.

  • Tackling gender-based violence in the EU: Persistent and emerging challenges and how can we address them?

#EGEF2024 will be a hybrid event with in-person sessions on-site and some virtual discussions.
