+200 Suppliers Engaged in the Solvay Suppliers Day

CSR Europe supported the Belgian multinational chemical company in the design and delivery of their suppliers’ engagement program running from April 2021 to March 2022.
This series of exclusive events were designed to elevate Solvay’s engagement with its suppliers to advance together towards common sustainability ambitions.

From April 2021 to March 2022, over 200 suppliers took part in the Solvay Supplier Engagement Programme, designed to foster innovation and the creation of shared value for all. The Programme, launched by the Belgian multinational company in collaboration with CSR Europe, rallied suppliers across the whole value chain in a common effort to meet the ambitious sustainability objectives set out in the company’s holistic sustainability strategy - Solvay One Planet.

The Programme included a sequence of three distinct events:

The Inspiration Day that kick-started the programme in April 2021

The Working days, a series of interactive thematic workshops delivered in June 2021

The Supplier Engagement Day & Award Ceremony in March 2022, which recognised the top three most promising collaborative projects contributing to the Solvay One Planet ambitions.

The event saw the participation of many high-level speakers, including Ilham Kadri, Solvay Chief Executive Officer, Lynn de Proft, Solvay Chief Procurement Officer, Oliver Hurrey, Founder of Galvanised, Astrid Rahn, Bridgestone Chief Finance Officer, Steven Brughmans, BASF SVP - Global Direct & Logistics Procurement, Kris Timmermans, Accenture Senior Managing Director.
